Cultural and social interrelationships have enormous impact on society, behavior, and expression. Many animals have complex social relationships and hierarchies, but the development and transmission of culture is more highly developed in human beings than in other animals. It is impossible to understand human psychology without appreciating the enormous roles that culture and social processes have on thinking, perception, belief systems, moralities, identities, and behaviors of individuals.
