The goals of Gender Psychology include a better understanding of the relationship between gender and mental health in order to reduce risk factors and improve treatment methods. Gender affects many aspects of life, including access to resources, methods of coping with stress, and relationships to others. These factors can profoundly influence social development and integration, self-esteem, and personal assessment of well-being.
