ISHK Leadership

Founder

Robert Ornstein, Ph.D. An internationally renowned psychologist and author of more than 20 books including the Psychology of Consciousness, Multimind, and The Roots of the Self, Robert Ornstein was considered one of the foremost experts on the brain. Perhaps best known for his pioneering research on the bilateral specialization of the brain, he continually emphasized the necessity of “conscious evolution” to meet the challenges of the 21st century. He taught at Stanford University, Harvard University and UCSF and was president of ISHK from its founding in 1969 until his death in December of 2018. His final work, God 4.0: On the Nature of Higher Consciousness and the Experience Called “God” will be published soon by Malor Books.
